Is your dinnerware dishwasher & microwave safe?

Yes, our plates are designed for the rigors of restaurant kitchens and will be safe in your dishwasher & microwave. For cleaning we recommend using detergents that are gentle and environmentally friendly such as Seventh Generation.

How do I clean cutlery marks off the plates?

Any matte glaze can show cutlery marking over time. This is a factor of the glaze being stronger than the flatware. Any marking is only temporary and do not worry, it is not harming the glaze. To remove these marks, we recommend scrubbing with a gentle abrasive cleaner such as Bar Keeper’s friend.

Is your dinnerware oven safe?

Yes, our plates are also safe in your oven up to 400°F but they are not bakeware or intended for routine use in the oven. Always be careful to prevent subjecting them to thermal shock (going from extreme cold to extreme hot or visa versa). Thermal shock can break or damage porcelain pottery.

Are your products durable?

Our work is used daily in over 175 restaurants around the world. Fast paced restaurants put our plates through rigors that they’ll never experience in your home. You can use our plates just like you’re accustomed to and when taken care of and stored properly, our wares will last a lifetime (or a few!).

How do Haand plates stack?

Our plates are designed to stack in your cupboard. We do not recommend stacking plates more than 12" high.

What does it mean when a product is out-of-stock or low stock?  Will you make more?

Yes! All of our products are made in small batches and we're in continuous production to keep our website stocked. If the product you're interested in is out-of-stock or low stock, don't worry, we're busy making more! If you want to be the first to learn about out-of-stock items back in stock, click the "more available soon - notify me" button and input your email address to be the first to know.

Pre-Orders are done on a first come, first serve basis and supplies are limited.

Pre-ordered products ship within two weeks (or sooner) of the pre-order period ending.

If your order includes both Pre-Order and In Stock items, the order will ship when the Pre-Order item is ready.

Standard/Expedited Shipping

We offer a variable flat rate standard shipping on all domestic orders in the continental U.S. based on your order total and serviced by UPS Ground from our studio in Burlington, NC 27215. You can expect your in stock items to ship within 1-2 weeks. Orders will arrive in 1 to 7 business days depending on your location once shipped. 
We have several options for expedited shipping on in stock items available through UPS. 3 day select, 2 day air and Next Day delivery are all available depending on your location. If you need your order shipped immediately, please contact us at customercare@haand.us

The Ripple Line

The Movement of Water, Frozen in Porcelain

When you throw a stone into a small pool, the ripples move out from the central point of impact. They spread until they hit the edges of the pool — the rocks, the logs, the shore. If you continue to watch, and the pool is still enough, the waves move back towards the center, changed from their contact and no longer perfectly circular. The waves write the story of the space they travelled within through the language of the morphing ripples. This series of vessels and plates are an attempt to freeze and recreate this phenomena through porcelain.

Let me tell how much

I love the large Ripple Pasta Bowl. In fact so much it was okay I ordered the wrong color (birch instead of the burl meant to match other hand built plates). It was OK. I decided I just have to buy some more.

The Most Excellent Vessel EVERY

I am not the best cook, but anything I put into this Ripple Large Pasta Bowl turns my meal into a celebration! (That, and a shower of freshly chopped Parsley)

Ripple Pasta Bowls- Love them!

The HAAND pottery pasta bowls are very artistic in design and add elegance to the table setting. They are lovely paired with the HAAND dinner plates. Although they look smaller than a rimmed bowl, they hold a generous amount. The bowls have a smooth matt finish and feel so good to the touch. These pasta bowls make me want to be a chef!

Love These Bowls!

I love my new Ripple pasta bowls from Haand! I love the way they coordinate with the dishes I already have, but definitely update the look of my table settings. They have been through the dishwasher, and been stacked in my cupboard. I even like the way they stack on the shelf. All the packing and packaging is recyclable, too! This indy business is going to continue getting my business!

Gorgeous bowls!

I am so pleased with the quality and beauty of this set of pasta bowls. Yes, you can spend a lot less, but you end up with garbage. Who wants to eat pasta out of garbage?! It's worth the investment for the quality and something you will enjoy everyday.
