Lovely craftsmanship, too big for small hands
I adore the feel, look, and finish of these chemist cups. The white is perfect—not too bright and not too creamy, although it looks great with both. The drawback is that I have smaller hands even though I am 5’7”. Think if it this way—playing an octave on the piano is a stretch for me. I can’t get enough grasp all the way around to lift it safely, so I’m going to figure something else out. They are for our newly remodeled bathroom. They are perfect for hubby and probably okay for an average woman’s hands.
I have a tee shirt fetish, I admit it. Also a socks fetish. I bought one, just one, Chemist Cup. Now, it looks like I'm heading full-speed ahead towards a Chemist Cup fetish. Seriously, my bright turmeric Chemist Cup is an utter delight to see, hold, and drink from. Over and over again, several times a day. I think it's going to be impossible for me not to buy more!
This is a beautifully crafted cup perfect for any beverage, especially warm. It insulates well yet feels comfortably warm in your hand.
This cup looks like a relic from another time, more of an alchemist’s cup than a chemist’s. I keep it in my art studio and it makes me feel like a magician. I’ll say, it’s better for cool drinks than piping hot, since there’s no handle and the cup can get hit to the touch. But you can’t be a magician without burning your fingers now and then, right?
I am so pleased with my chemist cup. It is just the right size for my hand and holds just the right amount of beverage. It looks handmade but the birch glaze is elegant.
