Is your dinnerware dishwasher & microwave safe?

Yes, our plates are designed for the rigors of restaurant kitchens and will be safe in your dishwasher & microwave. For cleaning we recommend using detergents that are gentle and environmentally friendly such as Seventh Generation.

How do I clean cutlery marks off the plates?

Any matte glaze can show cutlery marking over time. This is a factor of the glaze being stronger than the flatware. Any marking is only temporary and do not worry, it is not harming the glaze. To remove these marks, we recommend scrubbing with a gentle abrasive cleaner such as Bar Keeper’s friend.

Is your dinnerware oven safe?

Yes, our plates are also safe in your oven up to 400°F but they are not bakeware or intended for routine use in the oven. Always be careful to prevent subjecting them to thermal shock (going from extreme cold to extreme hot or visa versa). Thermal shock can break or damage porcelain pottery.

Are your products durable?

Our work is used daily in over 175 restaurants around the world. Fast paced restaurants put our plates through rigors that they’ll never experience in your home. You can use our plates just like you’re accustomed to and when taken care of and stored properly, our wares will last a lifetime (or a few!).

How do Haand plates stack?

Our plates are designed to stack in your cupboard. We do not recommend stacking plates more than 12" high.

What does it mean when a product is out-of-stock or low stock?  Will you make more?

Yes! All of our products are made in small batches and we're in continuous production to keep our website stocked. If the product you're interested in is out-of-stock or low stock, don't worry, we're busy making more! If you want to be the first to learn about out-of-stock items back in stock, click the "more available soon - notify me" button and input your email address to be the first to know.

Standard/Expedited Shipping

We offer a variable flat rate standard shipping on all domestic orders in the continental U.S. based on your order total and serviced by UPS Ground from our studio in Burlington, NC 27215. You can expect your in stock items to ship within 1-2 weeks. Orders will arrive in 1 to 7 business days depending on your location once shipped. 
We have several options for expedited shipping on in stock items available through UPS. 3 day select, 2 day air and Next Day delivery are all available depending on your location. If you need your order shipped immediately, please contact us at customercare@haand.us

Clean-Lined, Slightly Off-Kilter

The name Skali is found several times on the English Ordnance Survey map of the British Isles. A skali was a small, isolated homestead, and there are several tiny little villages scattered throughout the Faroe Islands and Scotland with that name- evidence of settlement of Vikings and Scandinavian peoples long forgotten but remnant in name, the Skali line is simple and direct. These pieces are modeled after common, rural historical pottery forms; the everyday objects used by people around the world. Clean lined, slightly off-kilter, and highly functional.

You Have to Haand It To Them

We absolutely love the simple elegance of the Skali Terra plates. The make every plating look as if if was from a Top Chef. So give them a big haand for style, quality, and service.

Love These Plates!

From the moment we laid eyes on these, we knew they had to be in our cupboard! The plates are beautiful and our Christmas dinner was fantastic. The lip is the right size to keep everything on the plate. Thank you for ensuring they would get here by being safely wrapped and protected. We are buying the bowls and cups soon!!

Awesome

We added these, the salad plates, and two different sized bowls to our wedding registry, and could not be happier. We initially also purchased the regular ripple dinner plates to trial and these are far superior. I didn’t realize the return period was only 2 weeks, or else I honestly would have returned the ripple plates after we purchased these magnificent vessels. Reason being, the lip on the edge. Ripple plates are too flat and if you have any food with even the slightest sauce, or even steak after it’s given the chance to rest, you will have a mess everywhere. They also feel too thin and seem easily breakable, although they never did break. Anyway, these plates are awesome. The size is great, they are all *slightly* different but you should already know (and appreciate) that going into purchasing as they are handmade, and they stack beautifully. 10/10 recommend. I spent so much time trying to find porcelain that has color, can be dishwasher and microwave safe, and the bonus of being American made. Long story short, I’ve found that holy grail and speaking from having purchased these months ago, they’ve been great.

Beautiful!

I ordered 6 plates for my husband's birthday. Unfortunately, when we opened the box, 2 were broken. I emailed them on a Saturday, got a reply that same day, and new replacement ones arrived by Thursday of the next week. Cannot say enough good things about the product and the customer services.
