This shape leapt out at us as soon as we got the first prototype. It reminds me of labware, and a story I read one time about some scientists stationed in Antarctica doing research during the cold endless nights of the winter there. Everyone had secretly “remembered” to bring some alcohol, but everyone had neglected to bring glasses. So, rather than drink from the bottle directly, they began using clean lab beakers, and chunks of ice from outside to water things down. These are slimmed down a bit from that, but would be right at home on the set of John Carpenter’s “The Thing” (before things go horribly wrong, of course). This glass is perfect for a highball cocktail, a refreshing seltzer water with lime, or just plain old water. The clarity of the glass and the sparkles of condensation couldn’t be a more enticing invitation to “drink me…”
Note: These are hand-blown glasses, and some variation is to be expected. Dimensions may vary slightly from those listed. We embrace and encourage these small variations, and feel they add to the overall humanity of each piece.

Details: Sold in sets of two or four- because you always need a backup, and it's more fun to drink with someone else!
Material: Clear, Lead-free, hand-blown glass made in New Hampshire by “the Pool”
Dimensions: 3.25” W, 5” H, 16 oz

Care: We suggest hand washing these glasses. Dishwasher safe on top rack, minimize contact with other pieces in the dishwasher.

Cleaning: We suggest hand washing these glasses. All our drinking glassware is dishwasher safe on top rack, minimize contact with other pieces in the dishwasher. Livia Carafe's should be rinsed immediately after use and handwashed.

Durability: These are handblown, but designed for every day use. Treat them with care, and they will last as long as Haand's porcelain pottery.

Material: Leadfree, Hand-blown glass

Quick temperature change can cause glassware to crack- going from a hot dishwasher to filled with ice or being filled rapidly with hot water could also cause cracks.

Avoid microwaving or boiling glassware.

Glassware by Haand

Haand has been playing with the idea of creating a glassware line for a long time. We worked with glass artist Christopher Kerr-Ayer to make each hand-blown piece, ensuring the maker’s hand was evident in every piece through tool marks, slight imperfections, and little variations.

It is a testament to Chris’s skill and craftsmanship that he could include these marks and they don’t take away from each piece, instead, they make each one more unique and perfect- perfectly Haandmade.

Hand-blown glass, for everyday

Designed to pair perfectly with our dinnerware, each glass has a unique touch and feels right at home in your hand.
