Hand Blown Wine Glasses

$115.00 $130.00

Single or Pair

The outline of this piece is based on Flemish wineglasses, the kind you see peeking out of a pile of fruit or fish in a 16th-century still life. The slight tulip shape and the short stem help the wine (red or white, or sherry, or sake, whatever) open up and stay cool as you carry it. It’s not a common shape anymore, but as soon as you hold it in your hand, you can tell why it was such a popular shape for so many centuries.

Note: These are hand-blown glasses, and some variation is to be expected. Dimensions may vary slightly from those listed. We embrace and encourage these small variations, and feel they add to the overall humanity of each piece.

Care & Durability

Cleaning: We suggest hand washing these glasses. All our drinking glassware is dishwasher safe on top rack, minimize contact with other pieces in the dishwasher. Livia Carafe's should be rinsed immediately after use and handwashed.

Durability: These are handblown, but designed for every day use. Treat them with care, and they will last as long as Haand's porcelain pottery.

Material: Leadfree, Hand-blown glass

Quick temperature change can cause glassware to crack- going from a hot dishwasher to filled with ice or being filled rapidly with hot water could also cause cracks.

Avoid microwaving or boiling glassware.

Glassware by Haand

Haand has been playing with the idea of creating a glassware line for a long time. We worked with glass artist Christopher Kerr-Ayer to make each hand-blown piece, ensuring the maker’s hand was evident in every piece through tool marks, slight imperfections, and little variations.

It is a testament to Chris’s skill and craftsmanship that he could include these marks and they don’t take away from each piece, instead, they make each one more unique and perfect- perfectly Haandmade.
